Optimedia opens in Mexico

MEXICO CITY--Optimedia, the media buying and planning specialist owned by Publicis, is opening Optimedia Mexico. The Mexico City-based agency will be led by CEO Eugenio Velasco, who has worked as president of FCB Mexico and was mostly recently with Grey Advertising.

Key clients of Optimedia Mexico include Nestle, Carrefour, Kimberly-Clark, Tefal and Bausch & Lomb. Initial billings are an estimated $12 million.

Optimedia opened its first Latin American office in Argentina in the spring.
