The appointment follows a four-way pitch including Carat, the incumbent in Europe except for the U.K.; CIA Medianetwork, the U.K. incumbent; and Mediapolis. Optimedia's London agency will lead the business, which will cover the U.K., Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium.
The brief includes traditional media activities and the creation of events sponsorship.
Tommy Hilfiger's creative is handled by Deutsch in the U.S.
