Oxygen acquires Web application company

Oxygen Media, New York, acquired Intype, Seattle, a company that develops Web applications and publishing technologies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Oxygen will use Intype's technology in its network of Web sites. Peter Rinearson, Intype's founder and president, joins Oxygen as senior VP-applications and will report to Lawrence Wilkinson, Oxygen's vice chairman.
