Procter & Gamble Co. is close to acquiring gourmet coffee roaster Millstone Coffee, Everett, Wash., an industry consultant told Advertising Age. A spokeswoman for P&G would not confirm or deny the talks; Millstone did not return calls. Millstone, with annual sales estimated at $90 million to $100 million, is one of the top three brands in the specialty coffee segment at retail.
