PORTO ALEGRE--Procter & Gamble Co. is cleaning public parks in Brazil to promote its Ariel brand. The clean-up operation was launched in Farroupilha Park in Porto Alegre and is rolling out in the rest of the country. The slogan used to promote the "cleaning" at the park is "Think Farroupilha Park Clean. Think Ariel".
"It's a way of doing social (work), of getting closer to the communities," says Edward Jardine, P&G president for Brazil and the so-called"Southern Cone," comprising Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay.
