P&G DISCUSSES CROSS-PALTFORM DEAL WITH ABC UNIT

(April 30, 2001) -- Procter & Gamble Co. is in talks with ABC Unlimited about a multimillion-dollar cross-platform pact that would likely include a number of Walt Disney Co. properties -- including ABC, A&E, E! Entertainment Television and ESPN -- in the most significant sign yet that advertisers are interested in such deals, Electronic Media, a sibling of Advertising Age, reports.
