P&G ends test of Bonus detergent

Published on .

Procter & Gamble Co. as of Oct. 1 is discontinuing Bonus detergent, which rolled into an expanded New England test market in September following an August 1995 launch in upstate New York. "We met our goal of what we wanted to learn," said a spokeswoman. She wouldn't comment on any future plans for a national launch of the brand, which occupied an increasingly competitive value segment. Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, New York, handled Bonus.
