Ex--P&G execs aid cancer detection system

Published on .

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Zila Inc. said it has retained Innovative Customer Solutions, a new Cincinnati--based company comprised of sales and marketing executives formerly at Procter & Gamble's Oral Care Division, to help introduce Zila's oral cancer detection system, OraTest, in the U.S. P&G signed a license to market OraTest last January, following nearly a year of market research, Zila said. But in April P&G canceled its license, following a decision to refocus on its core healthcare business. Zila said it is awaiting FDA approval of the system, currently marketed in Canada, Australia and the U.K.
