P&G to modify Cover Girl ads

Published on .

Procter & Gamble Co.'s cosmetics and fragrance division has agreed to modify print and TV advertising for its Cover Girl Continuous Color Self-Renewing Lipstick following complaints by Revlon to the National Advertising Division of Better Business Bureaus. Revlon challenged ads from Grey Advertising, New York, that said "Why Reapply? Just press your lips." NAD requested that all claims associated with complete and instantaneous self-renewal be modified or discontinued.
