P&G pours Pur water filter advertising work into Saatchi

Procter & Gamble Co., Cincinnati, tapped roster agency Saatchi & Saatchi, New York, to handle advertising for Pur drinking-water filters, following completion of P&G's acquisition of Recovery Engineering. Campbell Mithun Esty, Minneapolis, previously handled Pur for Recovery Engineering, which spent about $15 million advertising the brand. P&G, with long-term plans to expand Pur internationally, said the brand needs a global agency. Saatchi has been benefiting from P&G acquisitions of late, last month gaining global duties for the Iams and Eukanuba pet food accounts. Saatchi also has picked up the account of P&G's new NutriDelight micronutrient beverage.
