P&G promotes Pritchard

Published on .

Marc S. Pritchard has been named VP-general manager of Procter & Gamble Co.'s U.S. cosmetics and fragrance products business, Hunt Valley, Md. He succeeds Beth J. Kaplan, moving to exec VP-marketing, Rite-Aid Corp., Baltimore-based drugstore chain. Mr. Pritchard's most recent general assignment for P&G was as general manager of the skincare business, where he helped turn around the Oil of Olay line. His appointment has led to speculation that P&G will move ahead with the national launch of Oil of Olay cosmetics by spring 1997. At Rite Aid, Ms. Kaplan succeeds Kevin Mann, who becomes exec VP-category management.
