P&G's Wehling named Ad Council chairman

Procter & Gamble Co. Senior VP Robert Wehling was named the 1997-98 chairman of the Advertising Council, New York, succeeding Young & Rubicam Chairman Emeritus Alex Kroll. Mr. Wehling had been vice chairman of the Ad Council and a member of its board since 1994. At the Ad Council Mr. Wehling has been active in the development of Commitment 2000, the council's move toward projects aimed at benefitting children.
