Procter & Gamble Co. named Leo Burnett
Co., Chicago, agency for its newly acquired Tambrands business pending final approvals of the acquisition. The account, with spending estimated at $60 million, will remain with Foote, Cone & Belding, New York, until the Tambrands purchase is closed. Burnett is a P&G roster agency. FCB handles a number of P&G competitors, including S.C. Johnson & Son and Kimberly-Clark Corp.
Separately, P&G is realigning agency assignments by naming D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles agency for Pampers in Latin America, from Burnett. Also, P&G will move Tempo facial tissue in Europe and Hong Kong from Burnett to DMB&B, which handles P&G's Puffs business in the U.S..
