Published on .

Pacific Bell Communications, San Francisco, named Ketchum Advertising, San Francisco, for its estimated $80 million creative and media buying account for the introduction of local, long distance and other telecommunications services to California and Nevada early next year. Ogilvy & Mather, Los Angeles, developed the company's initial direct marketing campaign. Ketchum has long held the Yellow Pages account of Southwestern Bell, which is in the process of acquiring Pacific Bell, and is also agency fort Pacific Bell Internet Services. Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, handles Pacific Bell's branding efforts.
