Packard Bell picks M&C

Published on .

Packard Bell Electronics officially signed M&C Saatchi, New York, as its agency, confirming a report in Advertising Age (AA, May 6). This is the first new account for the office since Maurice Saatchi split last year with Saatchi & Saatchi. M&C Saatchi will handle U.S. and Asian advertising for the California-based PC marketer but said billings aren't yet determined. M&C Saatchi executive Tim Carlisle said the agency may open a West Coast office "down to road." Packard Bell was inactive at Kovel Kresser & Partners, Santa Monica, Calif., and employed Leo Burnett Co. in Asia.
