Panasonic, ReplayTV in deal

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Osaka, Japan, struck a deal with ReplayTV Networks, Palo Alto, Calif., to make and market Replay's digital TV recorder under the Panasonic brand starting this fall. Replay's set-top box allows viewers to control and record digitally what they watch. The product competes with a device from TiVo made by Philips Consumer Electronics.
