(May 12, 2001) -- -Papa John's International posted a 5.3% decrease in U.S. same-store sales for the four weeks ended April 29. During the period last year, U.S. sales for stores that had been open for one yeargrew 7.3%. The nation's fourth-largest pizza chain recorded a 27% increase in systemwide international sales over the same period last year. -- Kate MacArthur
