Respond.com, a new service that connects buyers and sellers online via anonymous e-mail, will launch a national ad campaign Nov. 7 with radio spots featuring comedian Paula Poundstone and print ads targeting buyers and sellers. The campaign, created by Rathje Chadwick & Co., San Francisco, takes a two-pronged approach with separate sets of ads for buyers and sellers. The ads tout Respond.com to buyers as an effective way to find products and services on the Web; the seller-targeted ads communicate that this service provides a simple, affordable way to meet and sell to new customers online. The theme of the campaign is "You request. We respond.'' Spending was undisclosed.
