Pax Net, new TV net, sets debut

Lowell "Bud" Paxson, chairman-CEO, Paxson Communications Corp., announced the creation of PAX NET, his bid for a seventh broadcast TV network, to launch next Aug. 31. Paxson owns (including pending deals) 66 UHF stations in 44 of the top 50 markets, plus 7 low power stations. In total, the stations cover 67.6% of the country, Paxson said. The key program on the network will be reruns of "Touched by an Angel."
