PC Meter tests business user panel

Published on .

Internet traffic data company PC Meter is beta testing a business user panel to complement its 10,000-member home PC user panel, said President Mary Ann Packo. PC Meter has been criticized for measuring Internet usage only in homes.

Separately, PC Meter named Doug McFarland to the new post of senior VP-general manager, advertising and media services, from exec VP-general manager of Freemark Communications. PC Meter, which launched a year ago to provide panel-based research on Web site traffic, is also expanding into technology research.
