PC Meter gets VC investment

Published on .

Three venture capital firms have made investments in Web audience measurement company PC Meter. NPD Group, which formed PC Meter and spun it off as a separate company, retains majority ownership. The funding from the VCs-- Greylock Management Corp., Oak Investment Partners and Venrock Associates--will be used to expand PC Meter's services. The company's main business currently is its reports on the most popular Web sites, but it plans to expand into monitoring of other computer usage and technology usage in general.
