PCS under way

Published on .

PCS PrimeCo., the partnership of AirTouch, Bell Atlantic, NYNEX and U S West, initiated the first calls for its wireless personal communications services network. It plans to offer wireless PCS services to consumers during the second half of 1996 in 11 major U.S. markets. The alliance is currently conducting an agency review for its estimated $50 million corporate and regional advertising account. Participants are believed to include Angotti, Thomas, Hedge and Bates USA, both New York; TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif.; W.B. Doner & Co., Baltimore; and Hal Riney & Partners and Goldberg Moser O'Neill, both San Francisco. A decision is expected by yearend.
