P. Newton White to exec VP, Consumer Products Worldwide, Sunbeam Corp, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., a new position where he will handle all global consumer products businesses. He had been involved in the turnaround of Scott Paper Co. as senior VP, Worldwide Commercial Business division.

Osmo Hautanen to Philips Consumer Communications, a new Phillips division in New York, where he will head the company's North and South American activities in consumer telecommunications. He had been VP-general manager, Personal Communications Systems unit of Nokia Mobile Phones America.
