Andrew A. Giancamilli
was named president-general merchandise manager, U.S., at Kmart Corp., Troy, Mich. He will take over marketing and advertising as well as merchandising responsibilities for the discounter following the retirement of Warren Flick, president-chief operating officer, U.S. Mr. Giancamilli joined Kmart in March 1995 from Perry Drug Stores, where he was president-chief operating officer. At Kmart, he rose to be senior VP-general merchandising manager, overseeing home fashions, home decor, housewares, electronics, jewelry, cosmetics, and consumables as well as the "Pantry" operations featured in Big Kmart stories. Mr. Giancamilli will report directly to Kmart Chairman Floyd Hall. The changes take effect Dec. 1.
