Scott Beck resigned as chairman of the ailing Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp. less than a week after he stepped down as co-chair of Boston Chicken, a majority owner of the bagel company. Robert Hartnett, 46, was named chairman and president of the 550-unit bagel company, which has two concepts, Einstein Bros. Bagels and Noah's New York Bagels. Mr. Hartnett was named CEO of the company in February. J. Michael Jenkins, who was named chairman, CEO and president of Boston Chicken last week, was named to the bagel company's board. Goldberg Moser O'Neill, San Francisco, handles Einstein/Noah.
