Nike executive Thomas Clarke is moving to the new post of president-new business ventures from president-chief operating officer. Mr. Clarke will continue to report to Nike Chairman-CEO Philip Knight.

Carl Nichols, 44, to CEO, WPP Group's Einson Freeman, Paramus, N.J., while remaining president. He succeeds Jeffrey K. McElnea, who's leaving the agency after 30 years to become president of new-media venture Satmark Sales Co.
