Internet directory LookSmart, San Francisco, named Derek Malmquist to the new position of VP-brand marketing. Mr. Malmquist formerly was group marketing manager of Clorox Co., Oakland, Calif. He reports to Val Landi, fomer VP-marketing and media services, who's been promoted to senior VP-marketing and media services.

New York-based Oxygen Media, an online and TV-based community for women, has named C.J. Kettler president-sales and marketing for the company's Internet and cable TV properties. Ms. Kettler formerly was president of Sunbow Entertainment. In her new position at Oxygen, Ms. Kettler will oversee all advertising sales, relationship marketing and manage the Oxygen brand and strategic marketing plan. The company also named Linda Ong senior VP-marketing. Ms. Ong will develop and implement marketing and brand-building strategies for Oxygen's cable and online properties. She joins Oxygen from Lee Hunt Associates, where she was managing director-strategy.
