David Gitow, founder and president of Time Inc. Home Entertainment, a division of Time Inc., and former consumer marketing director for Time magazine, has joined magazine retailer Enews.com as chief marketing officer, a new position. Mr. Gitow, 38, will oversee all sales, marketing and publisher relations operations for the fast-growing e-commerce company, which offers subscriptions to more than 750 magazines at the guaranteed lowest prices on the Web.

Organic, San Francisco, named David Posey, formerly a consultant to the company, chief information officer, and promoted Tom Kiernan from director of business development to VP-managing director of Organic Media.

Online retailers association Shop.org named the officers of its board of directors. They are: Elaine Rubin, president of ekrubin, as chairman; Tony Levitan, co-founder of E-greetings Network, vice chairman; Michael Crotty, VP-marketing at CDnow, treasurer; and Judy Neuman, divisional VP-interactive media, Eddie Bauer Inc., secretary.
