Pepsi going back to Venezuela

SOMERS, N.Y. -- PepsiCo is ready to announce a bottling joint venture with Venezuelan brewer Empresas Polar. The deal will put Pepsi products back on Venezuelan shelves in December, about five months after the nation's largest bottler, Cisneros Group, switched from Pepsi to Coca-Cola Co.Pepsi said the joint venture will build new bottling plants and create more than 3,200 new jobs in Venezuela. Polar will own 70% of the venture, and Pepsi will own the rest.
