Published on .

BEIJING--Consumers in Shanghai will soon be ableto buy Pepsi products on the Internet, underlining the growing popularity of the electronic commerce medium in the country's largest commercial centre.

The move follows a deal between the Shanghai Meilin Zhengguanghe Group, which sells all kinds of commodities on the Internet, and Shanghai Pepsi Co. Before the contract, the Meilin Group was selling Pepsi and Seven-Up on the Internet on a pilot basis.
