PepsiCo names restaurant chiefs

PepsiCo named Andrall E. Pearson chairman-CEO of the $10 billion-a-year restauarant company it will spin off to shareholders late this year. David C. Novak was named vice chairman and president. The company will combine the worldwide businesses of Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell. Mr. Pearson was recruited from buyout firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, when he is an operating partner. Mr. Novak is current president-CEO of Pizza Hut and KFC.
