Emap Petersen, New York, and NFL Properties reached an agreement to launch NFL Insider Magazine
. The first issue of the 1 million circulation, ad-supported magazine will be on newsstands Sept. 1. Special versions of Insider
will be sold at NFL games as part of the game program. The publishing season will culminate in January with the Super Bowl. In 2000, the title will publish eight times, with monthly issues throughout the NFL season. Petersen will form a wholly owned subsidiary to produce the title.
