Pfizer to halt Visine ad

Published on .

Bausch & Lomb and Pfizer settled a lawsuit in which Bausch claimed Pfizer misrepresented its Visine A.C. brand in a TV commercial. Pfizer admitted no wrongdoing but agreed not to air the commercial in question again. The lawsuit, filed June 4, took issue with Pfizer's claim that Visine A.C. offers allergy relief for the eye, when in fact the product is approved by the Food & Drug Administration only for relieving minor eye irritation.
