Philips Electronics marketing chief exits

Published on .

Gerard Dufour, senior director of marketing at Philips Electronics, Amsterdam, and chairman of the marketer's brand equity board, has left the company. He could not be reached for comment by deadline. Mr. Dufour joined Philips in 1996 from its roster agency Euro RSCG Worldwide to revitalize the Philips brand. He was responsible for the pan-European campaign using the slogan "Let's make things better." Ad Veenhof, a member of Philips' group management committee, will become chairman of the brand equity board, and Mark Kerray, head of the center of excellence on sponsorships, will take over the global brand management department.
