PhotoPoint.com promo to help national parks

Published on .

Photo-sharing Web site PhotoPoint.com, San Francisco, on June 14 begins a national promotion to save America's national parks. The "One for the Parks'' program allows visitors to photopoint.com to send a national park photo--one of their own or one of thousands of images in PhotoPoint's photo gallery--along with an e-postcard to the president and their state's senators lobbying for 1% of the federal budget surplus to go toward park maintenance and preservation. The program, which started as a grassroots campaign by Parks Co., publisher of the National Parks Catalog, will be supported by a print ad in July issues of Audubon, National Parks, Sierra, Sunset and Via. The ad was created in-house. There is no charge to participate in the program, which will continue through Labor Day.
