Atlanta: Gene Grant (c.), advertising director of The Sacramento (Calif.) Bee, accepts the first Newspaper Marketing Achievement Award from Steve Yahn (r.), editor of Advertising Age, co-sponsor of the award with the Newspaper Association of America. With them at NAA's annual marketing conference is Nick Cannistraro Jr., senior VP-chief marketing officer of NAA. The award includes a donation to a school or charity selected by the winner.
