Pillsbury repositions in India

Published on .

BOMBAY--Godrej Pillsbury, a joint venture with the U.S. foods company owned by the U.K.'s Diageo, will relaunch its Pillsbury line of cake mixes here by mid year. As a result of Bestfoods International introducing its Brown & Polson cake mixes here at a very reasonable price, Pillsbury will be coming out with products priced much lower than its current line. Pillsbury will soon expand India's nascent bak-ing mixes market by introducing the concept of mixes for muffins, brown-ies and cookies.
