(May 15, 2001) -- Playtex Apparel, a Stamford, Conn.-based division of Sara Lee Corp., selected Kraftworks, New York, as its agency of record following a four-month review.

Other contenders were New York agencies Carlson & Partners, Shahid & Co. and Interpublic Group of Cos.' Gotham. The account was previously handled by Omnicom Group's DDB Chicago.

Annual billings are estimated to be $10 million. Sara Lee's Hanes and Hanes Her Way brands are also searching for a new agency. -- Laura Hughes
