The Internet can be accessed by around 8% of Poles at home, work or school, according to the Open Media Research Institute, Warsaw. This puts Poles just behind Americans and ahead of Germans, Canadians and the British. Approximately 350,000 of Poles currently use the World Wide Web and industry analysts expect the number of users to grow to half a million by the end of the year.
