Pontiac hails awards

Published on .

Pontiac-GMC will start a marketing campaign Friday, Nov. 15, tied to winning four awards in the J.D. Power & Associates APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution & Layout) study in September. The winners are the Pontiac Sunfire, Grand Am and Bonneville and the GMC Yukon. Bob Kraut, Pontiac-GMC advertising manager, said ads will begin this week and will use the J.D. Power emblem. The division also will use the awards to create floor traffic for dealers. D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Detroit, is the Pontiac agency.
