Bill Heugh, brand manager for the Pontiac Grand Prix, retires April 1 from General Motors Corp., Detroit. Mr. Heugh has been with Pontiac since graduating from Detroit's Wayne State University in 1962. He brought back the "Wider is better'' ad theme in 1997 ads. Grand Prix used the ad theme in the early '60s. GM sold 148,197 Grand Prixs last year. The model is the second best-selling Pontiac behind Grand Am. No word on Mr. Heugh's successor.
