Commercial to Debut on MTV Video Music Awards Telecast

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Enrique Iglesias will be the new face -- and hot bod -- for Frito-Lay's $1.5 billion Doritos brand.

The debut TV spot featuring the Latin pop celebrity is to air on MTV's Video Music Awards telecast Aug. 29 as part of a campaign touting new Doritos Salsa chips.

Spending was not disclosed.

The spot features Mr. Iglesias in concert singing his hit single, "Don't Turn Out the Lights." The campaign's "Spice just right" copy point plays off Mr. Iglesias' style and the chips' combination of cheeses with a splash of lime.

Mr. Iglesias will also be featured on displays in 20,000 grocery stores touting a sweepstakes, which consumers can enter via Doritos.com. the grand prize is a trip to Miami's South Beach.
