Career: Mr. Pate began his career doing PR for non-profits like Goodwill Industries. He then spent six years in marketing and advertising at the Southeast Dairy Association and later at marketing services firm Knapp Inc. Prior to joining BellSouth in early 1996, he supervised domestic and international PR and advertising for MCI. Mr. Pate holds degrees in journalism and communications from Georgia State University.
