Career: Ms. Wellington joined Quaker directly out of college as a marketing associate in frozen foods, moving to brand manager on Gatorade in 1985. Except for a hiatus in 1990-1992, when she served in brand marketing for pet foods, Ms. Wellington has focused the rest of her career on Gatorade. From 1992-1995, she took on a stint as VP-worldwide marketing development for Gatorade, returning to the U.S. last year as VP-marketing for the domestic business. An active athlete, Ms. Wellington is said to click especially well with Gatorade's target market.
