Career: Harvard MBA with background in electrical engineering. Mr. Carter was technical assistant to Intel President Andrew Grove when asked to figure out a way to get sales moving for the slow-selling 386 chip. Mr. Carter started promoting chips directly to PC users to get them to insist on fast chips in their new computers. "Intel inside" has grown into the world's largest co-op program, turning Intel into a global brand.
