PR shuffle: Margeotes acquires Bratskeir agency

Published on .

Margeotes/Fertitta & Partners, New York, acquired a Big Apple public relations shop in a week marked by hot interest in the field by ad agency companies. Margeotes snapped up Bratskeir & Co., whose clients include Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., Chiquita Brands, ConAgra, Hasbro, 1-800-Flowers.com, Phillips Petro-leum Co. and T.D. Waterhouse. Bratskeir will retain its name and be housed as a separate unit of Margeotes. Earlier this week, Interpublic Group of Cos. consolidated its three PR units into two global networks, and Paris-based Havas acquired Hudson Sandler, London, as a first step in creating a pan-European PR network.
