Pressure on liquor ads

Center for Science in the Public Interest, Washington, has sent a letter to liquor control officials in the 17 states that control retail liquor sales, urging them to ban the sale of any brand that is advertised on radio or TV. The Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. recently dropped the industry's voluntary ban on broadcast advertising for liquor products.
