Primary Knowledge, New York, an online marketing company, opened June 10. Primary Knowledge measures the return on investment of online advertising and provides analysis to clients using proprietary technology and software. Peter Adams, formerly VP-strategic planning at Modem Media-Poppe Tyson, will serve as CEO. Investors include David Carlick, a co-founder of DoubleClick, as well as Don Peppers, Martha Rogers and Bob Dorf of Marketing 1:1, a Stamford, Conn.-based relationship marketing management consultancy.
