Primedia's stock dipped to start the week, but gained momentum by Aug. 2 when it unveiled a major restructuring of its publications businesses, including the departure after just six months of magazine group President James A. Warner. Primedia divided consumer publications into two units, Primedia Consumer Magazines and Primedia Special Interest Group, and transferred its technical and trade publishing unit, Primedia Intertec, into its business-to-business publishing unit, Primedia Information Group.
