Procter in court over Head & Shoulders

Published on .

Procter & Gamble has filed a lawsuit against wholesale distributor Quality King, New York, charging trademark and package design infringement and the sale of a counterfeit version of its Head & Shoulders shampoo. P&G begins newspaper advertising nationally this week warning consumers, via Northlich Stolley LaWarre, Cincinnati. A few thousand bottles were manufactured and fewer sold in stores. Counterfeits are long-neck bottles that were replaced by rectangular ones earlier this year. P&G will replace the counterfeit products free.
